WE HAVE THE TRANSMISSION YOU NEED
Our PRO DUTY series transmissions are designed for rugged use such as in tow trucks or heavy-duty type trucks that require a more powerful transmission. These units are assembled using more resistant, top quality parts. In addition, the valve body and the torque converter are modified to your requirements or specifications. J.C. Transmissions also offers its exclusive range of PRO DUTY series transmissions. All these transmissions are remanufactured in accordance with their usage. We modify internal components including the valve body and the torque converter. We use only top quality parts such as one way clutches, more resistant brakes and bands, pumps with greater delivery and we also increase the amount of steel and friction clutches in the drums. All clearances are strictly respected, making the transmissions more robust and able to handle rugged or extreme usage.

OUR CONVERTER DEPARTMENT
At J.C. Transmissions we manufacture our own torque converters. This assures us of product quality and therefore performance. All converters are opened and internal parts go through a minute cleaning and inspection process. Special tools are used to cut the welding around the hub in order to replace it, and to grind and polish the bearing surface for applying the converter disc or any other converter components where the assembly process requires adjustments based on very exact specifications. A Hub Master machine is used solely for welding the new hub to the converter cover. The converter’s components are separately cleaned by hand. The converter is then assembled with new springs, new bearings, new washers, as well as a new clutch disc used in the lock-up converter.
All parts are lubricated before being re-assembled in the converter. The converter is them sent to a machine which will align and weld it. The two parts of the converter are spot welded, after which the two covers are welded on. At each point in the process, a technician verifies the converter’s clearance to be sure it respects the required specifications and that, after welding, the converter did not undergo any distortion. Finally, after verifying that the converter has no leaks, it is balanced and then painted. Only our own high quality converters are installed in our delivered transmissions.

PRO DUTY SERIES TRANSMISSIONS
Our range of PRO DUTY transmissions is designed for extreme usage, for heavy duty vehicles or towing vehicles.
• These transmissions are assembled using high performance parts such as more robust one way clutches and more resistant brake bands and discs. We also increase the capacity of the drums which allows for the addition of a greater number of friction and steel clutches.
• We also modify the valve body and the torque converter in order to increase the unit’s durability which in itself provides maximum performance.
